Winter Triticale Seed - 5 lb bag. Winter triticale is a cross between winter wheat and winter rye. It is a cool season annual grass, that usually overwinters in northern climates. It is an excellent weed suppressing crop, producing a tremendous amount of biomass. Great cover crop as well, good for seeding into beans in the early fall.

Seeding depth: 1 - 1-1/2 inch.
Seeding date: late summer, early fall.
Seeding rate: 100-120 lb/ac.
Size 5 lb net (will seed approximately 1/20 acre).

Soil test for best lime and fertilizer recommendations. If no soil test available, apply 40-30-30 (N-P2O5-K20) at planting.
