Shade Tolerant Clover and Brassica Mix

This mix is perfect for areas with limited sunlight, as it includes a blend of shade tolerant clovers and brassicas. The mix consists of red clover, ladino white clover, crimson clover, balansa clover, rapeseed, and kale. These varieties thrive in shady conditions and will provide excellent growth and coverage.

Optimal Planting Conditions

For best results, plant this shade tolerant mix in early spring to early fall at a seeding depth of 1/4 - 1/2 inch. The recommended seeding rate is 6 lb per acre, and each 3 lb net bag will seed approximately 1/2 acre. Make sure to conduct a soil test to determine the best lime and fertilizer recommendations. If no soil test is available, apply 0-30-30 (N-P2O5-K20) at planting for optimal growth.

Diverse Blend for Enhanced Growth

This mix contains a balanced combination of 17% Medium Red Clover, 17% Ladino Clover, 17% Crimson Clover, 17% Balansa Clover, 17% Rapeseed, and 17% Kale. The diverse blend of clovers and brassicas ensures that your pasture or field will have a variety of nutrients and growth patterns, leading to healthier plants and improved soil quality.
