This mix of fine fescue grasses and flowers is specifically designed to provide high-quality nutrition for bees and other pollinators. Bee Lawn can be easily maintained like a regular lawn, or it can be left to grow wild and unmown to maximize the number of flowers available for pollinators to enjoy.

Mowing Instructions

If you choose to mow your Bee Lawn, it is recommended to only mow down to 3 inches in height. Avoid mowing when flowers are in bloom to allow pollinators to access the nectar and pollen they need. It is not advised to use herbicides to control weeds in your Bee Lawn to protect the health of the pollinators.

Product Details

Each bag of Bee Lawn mix contains 4 lbs of seed, which is enough to seed approximately 1000 square feet of land. The mix includes Chewings Fescue, Hard Fescue, Creeping Red Fescue, Self-heal (Prunella vulgaris), White Dutch Clover, and Creeping Thyme (Thymus serpyllum). For best results, sow the seeds at a depth of 1/4 - 1/2 inch in the spring or fall, with a seeding rate of 150-250 lbs per acre.
